Marcus Marjama
VP of Engineering
Marcus is a seasoned product development executive with a strong track record of turning ideas into market-ready solutions through human-centered design. With a career spanning motorsports, automotive, consumer goods, and the marine industry, he brings a rare combination of technical depth and cross-sector insight. Raised in central Oregon, Marcus developed an early passion for building, which has evolved into a leadership style focused on innovation, scalable manufacturing (both domestic and global), and defensible IP strategy. At Photon, he drives product strategy and development with a clear focus on delivering value, accelerating time to market, and positioning the company for sustainable growth.

Sawyer Plank
Mechanical Engineer
Sawyer started his career working both on and off the shop floor designing and machining components for aerospace and semiconductor industries. Before joining the engineering team at Photon, he also worked in systems R&D designing hybrid-redox iron flow batteries for long duration, grid-scale energy storage. Sawyer holds a B.S. in Mechanical and Manufacturing Engineering from Oregon State University.
Nick Schoeps
Chief Technical Officer, Co-Founder
Nick is the CTO of Photon Marine and has spent his career pushing the limits of EVs. A veteran of electric motorsports; he took Team Motoczysz to three consecutive Isle of Man TT-Zero victories. His teams are equally successful off the track, launching the EV brand Bultaco, designing an electric superbike with Pierre Treblanche, and solving production EV challenges for Borg Warner, Arcimoto, and Magna International. He is a calm leader with a systems thinking and growth mindset – always ready for a challenge.
Brent Stevens
Embedded Systems Engineer
Growing up in a commercial fishing family in Nova Scotia, Brent grew up on the water. While on land, he taught himself cars and computers, getting hooked on finding ways to get more out of things than they were built to give. Now, he spends most of his time somewhere between a garage and a keyboard, and as an embedded systems engineer at Photon he gets to do the same thing to electric boats. In addition to tinkering in a garage with friends, you can find him fishing or golfing. His dream is to someday own a sport fishing boat and a restomod Euro car.
Chad White
Sr. Sales Manager
Chad grew up in Texas, moved to Oregon 25 years ago to pursue mountain sports, bounced around from Washington, Utah, Colorado, Ohio, and Thailand. He loves to be outside and the majority of his work life has been in the outdoor industry. Climbing was his #1 for 20 years, then mountain biking, and snowboarding. He loves being around people, making them laugh, and learning how people tick. If you see me say hi, I guarantee I will say hi back 🙂.
